The old town of Corfu is just 7 km from our Villa Jasmine Blossom in Gouvia.

Corfu Town is famous for its fortresses (the old and the new), the museum of Asian Art, the Mon Repo, the ‘Kanoni’ as well as the small roads between the houses, called ‘kantounia’.

Don’t think about it, 20 minutes away from our apartments you will fall in love with our town!

Start your day from Liston area. There you will find coffee shops and restaurants, housed in the magnificent arcades with the large arches. Liston is the most visited place for residents and visitors.

Don’t miss the view from the top of the old fortress in the city of Corfu. The fortress covers the promontory which initially contained the old town of Corfu that had emerged during Byzantine times.

Continue your walk in the town and visit Saint Spyidon church. The Saint of Corfu island. Try local dishes like “Pastitsada”, “Bianco”, “Sofrito” and visit the fish and vegetables market called “Laiki” in Greek. Try an ouzo or tsipouro (spirits) with meze and forget about your problems!

Finish your walk with a swim at Mon Repos beach. Close by visiting the small mouse island or “Pontikonisi” in Greek and watch the airplanes from a close distance !
